In Falsus FAQ

In Falsus is a rhythm game joined to a card crafting system and a fully voiced visual novel, made by lowiro, the studio behind Arcaea. It came out on Steam for Windows on 9 September 2026. You play charts with six keyboard keys under one hand and the mouse in the other.

It costs $39.99 USD on Steam, with a 10% launch discount to $35.99. It is not free to play. The free demo from February 2026 was the only free version. Director Guy has said on Discord that there is no gacha.

The official name is two words, In Falsus. It is Latin for roughly 'in falsehood', and plays on the legal maxim 'falsus in uno, falsus in omnibus' (false in one thing, false in everything), which is also the name of a hidden achievement. Japanese players read it as infarusasu and shorten it to infaru.

No. It is on Steam for Windows only, with no macOS or Linux build and no console or phone version announced. Arcaea is lowiro's mobile and Switch game. The platforms page tracks this.

Not officially. Steam lists no controller support and the charts are designed for keyboard and mouse, and mouse buttons cannot be bound in the game. Some players map a controller or an arcade rhythm controller to keys through Steam Input; that works, but it is not the intended setup.

lowiro says over 70, more than 40 of them original. As of 10 September 2026 the community has named 28 of them and published levels for most of those. Our song list shows which ones are confirmed.

Same studio and same director, Guy (Anton Prydatko). Some Arcaea songs, such as Cyaegha and MIRINAE, are in In Falsus, and scoring follows the same idea as Arcaea (a fixed maximum plus one bonus point per perfect-timed note), but out of 100 million instead of 10 million. The controls are completely different: six keys and a mouse instead of touch.

The subreddit is r/InFalsus. For data, the community maintains an English wiki on Miraheze and a Japanese wiki on wikiwiki.jp; both are where most chart levels on this site were first recorded.

You can fast-forward Scenario text, but many songs unlock through Scenario entries, so you cannot skip the progression itself. Several Steam forum threads ask lowiro for a true skip button.

Because the ULT and FBD charts ask one hand to cover six lanes while the other steers the mouse. MIN only uses four lanes and EVO five, so start there. The difficulty guide explains what changes at each tier.
