What is In Falsus?
In Falsus is a rhythm game joined to a card crafting system and a visual novel, made by lowiro, the studio behind Arcaea. It launched on 9 September 2026 on Steam for Windows at $39.99, with 70+ songs (40+ original), five protagonists and full Japanese voice acting. You play with six keys under one hand and the mouse in the other; songs are also Encounters, where the cards you craft trade damage with an opponent. Start with the song list and chart levels, or the characters if you are here for the story.

Start Here in 5 Steps
- Rebind before you play. The default keys are Left Shift, A, S, D, F and Space; see controls and keybinds for layouts that suit your keyboard.
- Play MIN first. MIN uses four lanes and EVO five; the difficulty guide lists the gentlest charts.
- Read the Scenario. Most songs and Blueprints unlock through it; the story guide explains the arcs.
- Craft a clean card. Fill the coloured Zones with zero penalties; one penalty already costs 11% of the card. See Card Integration.
- Chase the easy achievements. Full Link, Card Named Unlinked and Borderline Clear are all early; the achievements page has the rest.

What is In Falsus?
In Falsus is a rhythm game joined to a card crafting system and a fully voiced visual novel, made by lowiro, the studio behind Arcaea. It came out on Steam for Windows on 9 September 2026. You play charts with six keyboard keys under one hand and the mouse in the other.
How much does In Falsus cost, and is it free?
It costs $39.99 USD on Steam, with a 10% launch discount to $35.99. It is not free to play. The free demo from February 2026 was the only free version. Director Guy has said on Discord that there is no gacha.
Is it In Falsus or Infalsus, and what does the name mean?
The official name is two words, In Falsus. It is Latin for roughly 'in falsehood', and plays on the legal maxim 'falsus in uno, falsus in omnibus' (false in one thing, false in everything), which is also the name of a hidden achievement. Japanese players read it as infarusasu and shorten it to infaru.

In Falsus Guide is an independent, unofficial fan resource for In Falsus players — not affiliated with lowiro.
- How we verify: Every chart level we list appears in both community wikis (Miraheze and the Japanese wikiwiki) or is marked as single-source; mechanics formulas are the community's published derivations and are labelled that way.
- Update cadence: We re-pull Steam achievement rates, review counts and both wikis' song tables after every lowiro patch, and at least weekly while the 70-song list is still being filled in.
- What we don't do: We do not publish chart levels nobody has recorded, we do not guess what hidden achievements need, and we do not give In Falsus a score of our own.
