Steam Deck
Steam rates In Falsus Playable on Steam Deck: default controls work and performance is fine, but some on-screen text is small and the controller glyphs do not match the Deck. The game itself is built for a keyboard and mouse, so a Deck needs a custom Steam Input layout to play charts. The platforms page has the rest.
Performance tips players have found
- Mouse polling rate: one player saw frame drops at 8,000 Hz that went away at 1,000 Hz.
- No sound: the fix reported on the Steam forum is to change the audio buffer size in the advanced audio settings. The game also supports ASIO output.
- Low-end PCs: the Japanese community wiki warns that frame drops show up as input lag, which matters more in a rhythm game than in most genres.
More fixes are in the known issues guide.
System requirements FAQ
Can In Falsus run on a laptop?
If it meets the minimum specs, yes. The bigger problem on laptops is the keyboard: many cannot register several keys at once, which breaks chords and holds. The controls guide covers this.
Does In Falsus run on Mac or Linux?
There is no macOS or Linux build. Players on Linux have run it through Proton, with at least one reporting a display bug on Ubuntu with Proton 10.
Is there a recommended spec?
Not yet. The Steam page lists only minimum requirements; the recommended section is empty.
